Classification of Wig Raw Materials

Currently, the raw materials used to produce wigs are divided into human hair and synthetic yarn two categories.

1. Human hair Currently the commonly used 100% human hair weave wholesale on the market are Chinese hair, Korean hair, Bangladesh hair, Burma hair, Indian hair, Brazilian hair, European hair, etc.

Chinese Hair: Chinese hair is available for braided hair, bubble hair and haircut. Braided hair is the human hair cut straight down from the human head. Bubble hair is the hair shed naturally due to human metabolism, hair is soft, not strong tension. Hair cut is the hair trim down in the barber shop, short hair generally accounts for 70% - 80%, and shaved hair have big impurities and the hair contained are inconsistent. Chinese hair is the largest amount of raw materials used to make hair wigs. Chinese has a large population, and their hair is relatively stiff, which can be dyed after acid treatment, can do modeling if being decorated on the head, which are more popular in the United States and Europe.

Indian hair: Indian hair is divided into braided hair and bubble hair, the basic nature of hair is like Chinese hair. Indian hair is softer, not straight than Chinese hair, small waves available, the hair is easily broken after chemical processing, and plasticity is not strong.

European Hair: European hair is basically light-based color, relatively close to the local consumer market, currently the most expensive raw materials; European hair is softer, not suitable for dyeing and post-processing, which are mostly directly used for hair extension.



Brazilian Hair: The human hair of European countries, mainly Brazilian hair. The intent of Brazilian curly virgin hair is the child's hair, the products made by hair of 10-year-old children, featured by soft, delicate, curvature.

2. Chemical fiber Chemical fiber is divided into low temperature silk, high temperature silk, silk proteins and fire retardant silk.

Low-temperature silk: low temperature silk is filler used for human hair extension, which can be styled between 80 – 85 degrees low temperature, this silk has good styling effect, which is the best material to produce low-end wigs. The disadvantage of low temperature silk is flammable, which is prone to become lumps after burning.

High temperature silk: high temperature silk can maintain no deformation below 180 degrees, which are mostly used to make African hair products.

Protein filaments: the closest raw material to human hair, closest feel to human hair, often used in high-end wigs products as filler, not only high temperature resistant but also automatically flame retardant after burning.
